...The land of the free and the home of the brave

So everyone knows about the earthquake that hit Haiti, and all the help that they are trying to give them to rebuild their own lives. Personally I would love to hit these people in the head. I understand that we are trying to help our neighbors and all that jazz, but really people?? Why don't you try to take care of your own country?!

For example, I personally have seen people on the corners of streets holding signs saying "Will work for food." I find this totally revolting, that the fact that Americans have to prostitute themselves as hired help for them to survive. Our veterans from WWII, suffering from the fact that they can't afford to feed themselves, or pay for their prescriptions. It is absolutely ridiculous.

All these people in Hollywood are always saying "Give money here. Give some here. Hey, they need money now." They make MILLIONS of dollars for one day, per movie, but yet they can continually sit there and tell us to give up our hard earned money, that we even have a hard time procuring. I am absolutely appalled by the fact that the middle or lower class people are getting the short end of the stick.

The President is continually saying that we are the best country in the world. Personally, I don't agree. Yes, we have more freedoms than a lot of other countries, but our economy is so much in debt, that we can't enjoy these freedoms. They can't even achieve a decent health insurance plan.

Another thing I find hysterical, is that after September 11th, we started invading Irag. We started a war and started bombing. Now, after all the war, we are assisting in the rebuilding of Irag. WHY THE FUCK ARE WE DOING THIS??? I don't understand. We invaded. We conquered, and we helped? Don't drop food, DROP BOMBS!! Be done with it and bring our troops home!!!!!!
I think that Obama needs to start helping the people of the United States and stop assisting the others in the world. Take care of your own first!
Sometimes I don't want to be an American because I am so disgusted with the way America is being run! ASSIST YOUR OWN FIRST ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Glittering limelight of Hollywood....

When I think of classical movies, I think Bela Lugosi's Dracula, Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, and many other creditable films.

The recent remakes have caused me to speak up.

Why can't they let the classics remain as such? Why do new directors need to pollute the reputation these amazing movies have in order to create more BGG? Blood, guts, and gore for those wondering.

My love of the true classics are the one's that get into your head. The scare factor behind them. Alfred Hitchcock, all his movies are legendary, and rightly so. He was without a doubt, a truly gifted man, through making his movies focus on the scare fact, and not the gore.
I recently saw that they are remaking The Wolf Man. Personally one of my favorite movies, but now with them revamping it into today's expectations for the BGG. It is absolutely revolting that these directors from the Hollywood hills, get paid millions of $ for their original and unique ideas, and lately it seems that their "talents" haven't really been up to the task.
More recently books, and movies already done, are being remade, because no one is capable of leaving a masterpiece alone.
The Halloween movies, beyond exceptional for their time, were remade by Director Rob Zombie, because he is a BGG kind of man. I have not watched them, nor do I want to.
They are subjecting the classics to modern tweaking, because that is what everyone wants to see, that and nudity of course. Why can't people understand the motives behind the older wonders? That they weren't the BGG, but the psychological thrill, of what was lurking around the corner? What was behind the door?

I am appalled in the new direction that these movies are headed, and will gladly stick to the true masterpieces anyday!
